Mystery Box With Barber Head J.G. Thompson Jr. Gimmick

So this is pretty cool. It’s also kind of a mystery item. It’s a very well-made brass a Okito box. And it also comes with a J.G. Thompson Jr. coin gimmick made from a genuine silver barber Head half dollar..

The Okito box is a little unique in that it is very heavy. The bottom, half of the box seems to be filled with metal or something, but at first I thought it was some sort of magnetic box or maybe a box that came apart.

But I have tried and it does not open. And it does not attract to a magnet or metal. I’m not sure why it’s so heavy and why the bottom half is filled solid.

Your guess is as good as mine. Really beautiful box and very nice gimmick that can be used with any Okito box.
